Richard Hedges has just taken over the presidency of the BWA. Acting as elected vice-president for the last three years, Richard is a real enthusiast for the larger domestic breeds, as well as the Silver Appleyard Miniature duck. He is a Goose judge and regular on the show circuit, and few people have done more to sign up new members to the BWA than he.
Richard is ably supported by a new elected vice-president, Llŷr Davies; as a life member since boyhood, Llŷr is now a full time professional with birds, being Senior Aviculturist at Waddesdon Manor.
He is also editor of the Avicultural Magazine: The Journal of the Avicultural Society, and is EAZA's Population Monitor for the White-necklaced Partridge Arborophila gingica.
