With great regret, we have taken the decision to cancel the Champion Waterfowl Exhibition for 2020. Despite the opening of leisure centres this month, we are hearing that a significant number of our regular exhibitors do not wish to take risks with gatherings. In the coming weeks we will be working with the Stratford Park Leisure Centre to secure it for a really fabulous show in 2021.
This is not a decision we have taken lightly. A proportion of you prefer not to travel this year, some of course are shielding. Some of our judges have also said they do not wish to attend. We know that some, particularly the young and enthusiastic, will find this deeply disappointing, but none of us would wish to be in a position of putting anyone at risk.
In the meantime, next month we will send out details of an online mini-show. We hope that many of you will be able to showcase the birds you are most proud of and we will feature these in the Winter edition of Waterfowl.
